Update

It has been some crazy couple of months. Reina is now a year old. She is walking and talking, both of which become more frequent each day. She is absolutely beautiful! I have been working at Southaven Middle School as a 7th Grade English teacher. I have 3 classes (2 hours each). They are definitely... different and more energetic then elementary classes. I love it, though. It is fun, and the students are generally pretty easy to teach.

The two of us have just been trying to spend as much time together as possible.

10 Months

Reina hit 10 months in July 4th! It is amazing how fast she has grown. She LOVES table food. She had chili for dinner the other night with peach yogurt, pineapples, and strawberries. Her fave is ice cream. She loves to talk and sing along to the radio. She is into everything. She will (hopefully) be walking by Jackie's wedding. Well... that's at the end of the month, so we'll see. I am really excited about planning her 1st birthday. I want it to be fun (at least for the adults). I guess I have been watching too much Gilmore Girls lately... :D

8 ½ Months

Kari started watching Reina this week... and, well... Reina is learning all new stuff! Good stuff! She dances to just about any music. Her dancing consists primarily of 'head banging' and rocking back and forth. She isn't exactly crawling yet, but she is pulling up on stuff. She LOVES to stand. She is also actually moving her feet to try and take steps. I am convinced that she will be walking by the time Kari goes to EFY (in July).

Reina said 'mama' for the first time on Thursday, the 14! I have Kari and Tracy as my witnesses. I was so excited, I almost cried! She also pushes herself up into sitting position... the first time being Friday, the 15 and now she acts like she has been doing it forever.

She loves to watch Patti, Kari, and Alex play Super Mario 3 on the regular Nintendo Patti got from her girls on Mother's Day.

We are really hoping that I will get a teaching job next school year so I can be home to witness more of the huge growing leaps. I am just waiting for DeSoto County to get their allotments... please let me know if you hear anything!

New Blog

We needed a new blog page, so here it is. Hopefully, this will be kept up better than the last one. I am also going to have a section for Recipes because I need some. Preferably recipes for one or two people. I will continue to post pictures of Reina as she grows (so fast). Please send me pictures and your links! :}
